HEC holds a seminar on "Youm-e-Tahafuz-Namoos-e-Risalat(P.B.U.H) at University of Sargodha

The Higher Education Commission organized a one-day special seminar titled "Youm-e-Tahafuz-Namoos-e-Risalat (P.B.U.H)" at the University of Sargodha.

The event featured online addresses by Chairman of the Higher Education Commission Islamabad, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, renowned lawyer Rao Abdul Rahman, and Director General of the Islamic Research Institute, Professor Dr. Zia-ul-Haq, Meanwhile VC UoS Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas and Pro VC UoS Prof. Dr. Mian Ghulam Yaseen, along with officials from educational and administrative departments attended the Seminar.

During the seminar, Professor Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed highlighted the negative impacts of social media on students, emphasizing the need for efforts to curb these influences.

Professor Dr. Zia-ul-Haq underscored the universal guidance offered by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) for humanity and cautioned against social media assaults on his esteemed character by anti-social and anti-Islamic factions.

Rao Abdul Rahman highlighted the proactive measures taken by state institutions to block fake social media accounts and groups involved in negative activities. He reiterated the existence of laws in Pakistan to protect the honor of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and ensure punishment for those who violate them.

Expressing support for the initiatives of the Higher Education Commission Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas emphasized the role of education in combating ignorance, extremism, and incitement, urging the new generation to use digital media responsibly and avoid becoming tools for anti-state or sectarian sentiments.
